BMW Motorrad Australia has launched a test-ride and track-day program across the East Coast of Australia with riding tips from professional coaches.

Customers will be able to test-ride one of the new range of BMWs on a race track and bring their own motorcycle for comparison.

Select riders who register with BMW before the event and pass an observation ride on an S 1000 RR will also get to test-ride the new HP4 RACE.

The bike features a full carbon frame and carbon rims and the four-cylinder engine produces 215 HP (158kW) at 14,500 revs.

The BMW Motorrad Track Experience Program costs $69 ($49 in Queensland) and $199 for the test ride and track day program ($149 in Queensland).

Professional coaches from Phillip Island Ride Days will be on hand to offer riding and technical tips.

Track days

2018 events will be held in three states across the East Coast:

  • Queensland Raceway, QLD: August 20
  • Sydney Motorsport Park, NSW: September 5-6
  • Phillip Island Circuit, VIC: October 3-4BMW launches Track Experience programme across the East Coast.

Bookings for Queensland open on Friday July 27, with others to follow.

Bookings for the remaining states will be announced across BMW Motorrad social media channels in coming weeks.
