Perth motorcycle show returns

Perth Motorcycle show

The biennial Perth Motorcycle Show is back in 2015 and expected to attract about 20,000 people over the three days.

In 2013, the event celebrated 20 years and moved to the new venue of Claremont Showgrounds which proved successful, with ample exhibition space inside the pavilions and lots of room outdoors for stunts and activities.

The show, presented and hosted by Premiere Events, will be held from October 30 to November 1, during Motorcycle Awareness Week and will feature a big range of displays, demonstrations and activities.

Demonstrations include freestyle motocross, stunt riders and moto trials.Matt Mingay stunt rider

Patrons will also be able to take part in the “come and try riding” on a dedicated track and a junior motocross track.

Displays include a custom bike show, a show and shine competition, and veteran and vintage bike displays.

There will also be an indoor Motolive stage show with new-release motorcycles and bike products, reviews, fashion parades, special guests and live music.

Food and drink will be available for sale and there will be a licensed bar area.

The Perth Motorcycle and Scooter Show will host a charity ride on the Saturday morning, which will be headed up by a celebrity guest.

The ride starts at Crown Perth and will finish at Claremont Showgrounds so participants can then visit the Show. The charity ride will support YouthFocus, a West Australian charity that helps youth dealing with suicide and other mental health issues.

In 2013, the charity ride featured Mick Doohan and more than 1500 bikes participated, raising almost $20,000 for YouthFocus.
