Motorcycle freedom rally still on!

Despite grey skies, there is no rain, so the rally against motorcycle discrimination is still on this morning at 9 at Canungra. Currently at 1606 signatures and climbing. Paper petitions will be available as well.
Speeches will be kept very short. Once the gab fest is over and you’ve signed the petition you are free to go ride solo, in twos, threes or more.
Anyone concerned with legal issues if they are stopped by police can consult with our resident bike rider and solicitor Jim Feehely at the rally.
Police have been advised and we’re not expecting any harassment as the TV crews will be there.
Please be peaceful as our cause of being innocent collateral damage in the state government’s draconian legislation will only play into their hands if we become unruly.
One last thing; please be respectful of the good people of Canungra. They love bikes and live off our tourist dollar. Don’t give them reason to turn us away.

  1. After a commondore driver ran my son in towards the gutter he hit the drivers mirror to bring attention to his presence. The car driver then became agro and chased my son but was prevented from getting close by other car drivers. He then reported my son to the police. After a few phone calls my son made a time and went down to the police station to give his side of the story. The outcome………whilst my son was not charged, in fact not much was said about the incident, he has now had photos taken of his bike, his clothing and his tattoos and was told that he is now on the criminal bikies register. If this did not have possible ramifications it would be funny. My son was riding his only bike and his daily transport…..a 250cc Honda Rebel. I am now waiting to be told that as a family we cannot ride together because we are classed as criminals.
