Kawasaki Motorcycles Australia has issued its second recall of its retro Z900RS and Cafe models over another brake issue.
The second recall only affects 21 2019 models, according to the official notice issued through the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
“The ABS hydraulic unit may have been contaminated with debris during the manufacturing process,” the notice says.
“Contamination could result in improper functioning of the anti-lock braking system, allowing the user to lock the front or rear wheel during operation of the anti-lock braking system, creating the potential for a crash resulting in injury or death.”
Kawasaki will contact owners by direct email or letter to organise a free fix for the problem.
