Kawasaki Australia has recalled the learner-approved 2018 Z300 over an issue with the clutch cable that could spark a fire.
The official notice lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission says “a deformed clutch cable clamp may contact the bottom plate of the fuel tank”.
“Contact of the clutch cable clamp and bottom plate of the fuel tank can cause wear and perforate the plate, resulting in a fuel leak that could cause an accident or fire,” the notice says.
Owners should contact their nearest Kawasaki dealer to arrange an inspection and free repair of the bike.
