Owners of the Honda VT750 cruiser should take their bike to their dealer to have the wiring harness checked for a fault which could cause stalling.
Honda Australia Motorcycle and Power Equipment has used a safety recall notice for the 2010 to 2015 750cc cruiser which says that “due to the fixing method for the Bank Angle Sensor wiring harness, the wiring may bend and break after prolonged usage”.
“If the harness breaks, the motorcycle engine may cut out without warning and be unable to be re-started, posing an accident hazard to the rider and other road users.”
Repairs all be done at no cost to the owner.
This follows the recent recall by Honda for the VFR1200F and VFR1200X to fix an “incorrect assembly procedure at the factory” where the driveshaft bearings can overheat, deteriorate and fail.
