Kymco scooter taps growing delivery sector

The growth of trendy delivery companies such as Deliveroo and Uber Eats has prompted the introduction of the Kymco Agility Carry to the Australian market.

Importer Mojo Motorcycles says the $3390 (ride away) purpose-built delivery scooter will transform the way we deliver. It could also be a great commuter solution for people who need to take a bit of gear with them to work.

“The Kymco Carry is a model currently being sold around the world and wasn’t developed specifically for our market,” explains Mojo director Michael Poynton.

However, he says the delivery service industry is a rapidly growing movement in Australia with “innovative start-ups, cottage industries and funky new delivery systems” revolutionising the micro-transport industry.

“In terms of our customer base locally, we have been speaking to franchisees from Dominos, Pizza Hut, Crust Pizza, Red Rooster etc. regarding this scooter as well as courier riders (Deliveroo, Uber Eats etc).”

Delivery services are branching out to much, much more than your local pizza shop, he says.

“Urban congestion has increase demand for functional and versatile delivery solutions. The purpose-built Agility Carry is our answer to your delivery needs,” Michael says

“One of the key selling points of this scooter is the cost of ownership with consumable spare parts being on average about 25% below our competitors,” Michael says.

“Given the kilometres these scooters rack up in a short amount of time, this is something that needs to be considered when comparing options.”

Delivery load capacity

Load limits are 15kg on the front and 30kg on the rear and there is an optional 85-litre box with large rearward opening lid available. There is also ample under-seat storage.

The delivery scooter is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, 125cc, single-cylinder engine mated to a twist-and-go variable automatic drive.

“The Agility Carry is the perfect delivery scooter for those who need an efficient, affordable and versatile transport solution,” Michael says.

Kymco is a Taiwanese company which has been making scooters, all-terrain and utility side-by-side vehicles for more than 50 years.

It is imported by Melbourne-based Mojo Motorcycles which imports and distributes brands such as CFMoto and Sherco.
