The Australian Consumer and Competition Commission safety recall notice says a manufacturing defect in the fuel pump may lead to “reduced performance and affect the long-term durability of the fuel pump”.

“Prolonged use of the motorbike may cause the fuel pump to fail and the vehicle may break down. If this occurs while the vehicle is in operation it may result in an accident to the rider or other road users,” the notice says.

Postie bike owners are asked to call an authorised Honda motorcycle dealer and make an appointment to have the motorcycle repaired.

The repair will take less than an hour to complete and Honda will replace the affected parts at no cost to the owner.Honda Forza scooter recalled

The recall follows two scooter recalls last month for the stalling issues on the Forza and the PCX 125 and PCX 150 for top boxes falling off.
